A leap is still just one step...

Well! I am safe and sound here in Stuttgart. :) Incredibly pretty here, and I am very happy to be here. :) Things are old and small and have this awesome quality to them.  It hit me this Saturday night when we went to  Heidelburg to goof around. I'm looking at the people, not understanding anybody except for my group and one or two English speakers here and there, and I'm sitting there in downtown Heidelburg thinking to myself: OH MY GOSH! LINDY!! YOU FLIPPING MOVED TO GERMANY!!!!!! :)

I can already feel my biggest struggle this year is going to be simply taking it one step at a time. I am frustrated cause I find my mind going into a mode thinking that this year is just a year, will fly by and I need to have a PLAN when it is up. (Like I have all the plans in order anyways...and any of my plans so far have actually come to materialize. This coming from a girl who swore she could never be a CNA and then a few years later fell in love with the work.) So I guess, anyone who's reading this, I just ask you to pray for me to have peace and just soak in this year and richly experience it. I just want to fully experience everything this year has to offer. I don't want to miss anything. There is so much potential and so much unknown about this year, that I guess it makes sense on one hand that I'd automatically revert and want to go back to something that's familiar, something predictable.

But the lesson I am trying to accept and really unpack and make a home in is that God doesn't reveal all the picture at once. Obviously. (Duh, Lindy...You're life a case in point! You also had plans to go to school while God was up in Heaven giggling thinking "Her jaw is gonna hit the floor..." And it did.) And you know what? I like Gods plan better than school right now anyways. :)

I am in the frustrating, what appears to be unending process of learning to be still and just act like the type B personality that I actually am...deep down inside. Trust, I must continue to wrestle with it to grab it. I don't know why I have such a struggle with this sometimes, I hope to discover that over this next year, and maybe let go once and for all.

Because at the end of the day, I am in Gods hands, and I truly believe I am always in His will. Why? Because thankfully, while I'm always learning to just relax and trust, I somehow  have thus far managed to at least keep enough sense to ask God to get in my way when I am ready to do something He doesn't have planned. And that is a prayer so far in my 24 years of life He has readily and clearly answered. :) Even if that answer and road block takes you across the world.... :)

Okay. Enough late night ramblings. It's almost 11 pm my time, and I have some pretty cute bambinos to chase around tomorrow. :)

  1. I promise to keep you in my prayers Linny Lou! That you will stay in the moment and enjoy all that this year has to offer you..That you wont worry about tomorrow because as you said...there's no way to know what God has planned for you for tomorrow...so why worry about it! I love you and hope you enjoy all God has given you and that you find the peace that only God can give you! Aunie Kelley
