Thankful Things Week 6 and 7!

Friday 12-28-12

1. Free/Inexpensive Kindle books!
2. A long weekend with main event being down time!
3. An e-mail from my friend Amanda! Just to let me know she thought of me being away from "home" on Christmas! <3 I love her! So far, we've been able to do pretty alright with keeping in touch, and for that I'm thankful!
4. Videos of my nephews and nieces. Confession: Sometimes, when I really miss them, I just sit there for a few minutes and watch the same video or look at the same pictures repeatedly. Because you (unfortunately!) can't spend all day, everyday with them on Skype. Confession #2: I've also done the same thing with pictures of Baxter.... Pathetic on my part? Maybe. :)
5. Sudafed! 

Saturday 12-29-12

1. Razors.
2. Homemade Potato Soup....that stuff is one of my absolute favorites!! 
3. Good Laughs. I've had several today. :) I.E. Maimai in church today "Santa's watching you!!!" :)
4. Once again, Skype!
5. Jesus knows what I don't. I find that comforting!

Sunday 12-30-12

1. A video from a Passion conference that is a reading of the entire book of Ephesians. It's a blessing and definitely worth your half hour.
2. Sleeping in!
3. The ability to read! My life would lack so much if I couldn't read!
4. Good music while doing dishes. :)
5. Time to reflect, rest and think about 2013 goals!   

Monday 12-31-12 

1.  I'm just now starting to listen to Air1 online. I'm not sure what took me so long (kinda silly on my part!) but I'm glad I did!! :)
2. New beginnings! 
3. New goals and plans!
4. God's guidance. 
5. I look forward to what I will learn and how I will grow this next year! 

Tuesday 1-1-13

1. Beautiful, crazy fireworks! (Which would have all been illegal in the Sates!)
2. The God of Angel Army's is always by my side!
3. New goals and plans!
4. Fun with friends.
5. Salt water. A natural cure-all for oh so much! 

Wednesday 1-2-13

1. Authentic, German dinners! Complete with authentic Bavarian music, slap dancing, food and drinks!
2. Safe travels!
3. Get away to beautiful, traditional Garmisch!
4.  Fresh beginnings!
5. The unknown to me IS known to God! I can rest and trust in that and choose to take hold of Jeremiah 29:11!

Thursday 1-3-13

1. Beautiful, comfortable hotels!
2. playing in the snow!
3. Pools! :)
4. ATMS! Wow, they make life so much easier!
5. God's beautiful creation!

Friday 1-4-13

1. God's word! Reading in Genesis alone, I've already found the phrase "Do not fear!" about 5 times! 
2. I've heard that there's about 360 more times when we're told not to be afraid in The Word. That means once for every day of the year! <3 I need that!
3. Beautiful downtown Garmisch and the chance to check it out!
4. Being with kids who are adaptable and travel easily!
5. Starbucks. Haven't had one in a long time! :)

Saturday 1-5-13

1. Powdered sugar baby kisses on my way out the door.
2. Breathtaking Neuschwanstien Castle and the chance to tour it!
3. Little bits of Christmas still lingering.
4. Once again, in awe of God's creation! I have no words for this Bavarian excursion! 
5. Learning through traveling and exploring!

Sunday 1-6-13

1. God's creativity!
2. Waking up singing. :)
3. God's handiwork in the Zugspitze!
4. The chance to explore that handiwork and summit the Zugspitze! 
5. Safe travels, once again, on the way home!

Monday  1-7-13

1. A nice, easy day getting back into the routine!
2. Cameras!
3. A warmer day to play at the park and walk!
4. Sunsets that stop you dead in your tracks! I pointed it out to the kids and I said "WOW! Look at the beautiful sunset you guys! You know what we say? We say thank You, Jesus for that bautiful sunset!!"
5. Later, Buddy and Sissy randomly said "Oh! Wow! Thank You Jesus!" as they pointed to the sky. :)

Tuesday 1-8-13

1. God's care. It's all over my life, and I'm humbled.
2. Free/crazy-discounted classics on Amazon! Hello, Jane Austin and Charles  Dickens collection! And you, too, Les Mis! I look forward to getting to know each other better!
3. Leftovers from dinner that make simple, quick lunches.
4. Fresh, free pretzels from the bakery. :)
5. Christmas cards from family. :)

Wednesday 1-9-13

1. I'm a prisoner of Hope. I'm permanently God's and nothing, nobody can touch that. Wow, that makes a heart soar!
2. Little girls and their pearls....that they stole from their cousin. :)
3. I'm continuing to learn about rest! (An ongoing theme with more later I'm sure!) 
4. Hangers. I just realized it would be so hard to keep my clothes clean, unwrinkled and easily accessible without them. 
5. God's peace!

Thursday 1-10-13

1. The sense of smell. 
2. Comfortable tops.
3. Old pictures of my bumblebee soccer days with my brothers. :)
4. God is always faithful.
5. God wins. <3
